Hello all! My name is Susan Okey and I am your photographer. I capture my art in Indianapolis and the surrounding suburbs. I have been doing photography for as long as I can remember. I was the kiddo that was taking a massive suitcase of lenses on all of our family vacations growing up, just hoping to get a perfect shot like a magazine.  I grew up and got my grown-up job only to daydream of having a photography business. Circling back time and time again finally my husband and best friend turned to me one day and said " just do it, you will be great at it". For three years now I have been capturing memories and creating art for my clients. 

      I specialize in children and family photography. There is just something about capturing a true loving glace between mother and daughter or that deep belly giggle while a kiddo is in dad's arms. I love seeing the beaming face of a senior knowing that they are about to embark on the part of their lives.

       Earlier this year I was blessed enough to find my birth mother. While we were getting to know one another she would send me these photos of her and her other siblings at different times in their lives. All of a sudden I found myself asking for more and more photos. It was so amazing to see someone that looked like me. There it all was just looking me in the face. A nose that looked like mine or a smile. My kiddos sharing some of the same features as well. At that moment I realized why capturing memories was so important to me. Capturing moments is timeless. It connects people and tells a story. Through photos, we could see each other and our families before we had met in person. I was able to show her who my father was even though he passed three years ago. This is why I am passionate about what I do. I want to give my clients the best experience possible and give them great artwork to place in their homes for all to see.
